Finding the Right Size Coleman Inflatable Kayak

Do you like to go Kayaking? How many people are in your family? Sometimes the number of individuals in your party and the size of your kayak becomes an issue. This usually means that you’re going to have to buy an additional kayak and this can become quite costly depending on how many individuals are along for the ride.

Fortunately, an inflatable Kayak can help. Coleman inflatable kayaks come in different sizes, but they usually accommodate one or two people like your usual kayak. The main difference is that these are inflatable and they are cheaper. But which type of Coleman inflatable kayak do you need? Here are some options:

  • You definitely need paddles. Paddling down a rough river is impossible without the actual paddles. That is like trying to make it from one end of the forest to the other completely blindfolded.
  • Are you a loner or do you like to take the family with you? If you’re a loner, then you can invest in a Coleman inflatable kayak that accommodates just you.
  • If you’re taking the family along, you’re going to be able to fit two people per kayak.
  • Are you going to be hitting the rapids or are you just touring? This is where you need to decide whether you need a touring kayak or a sport kayak. A touring kayak allows for more relaxed river time. The sport kayak is made for some rougher waters and is designed to handle them quite well.

Really, the decision is not a very difficult one. All you need to know is what you want to do with the boat, whether you like to ride alone or with company, and how many boats you will need based on how many individuals will be with you. Yes, your friends can buy their own, but if you’re taking your family, that’s an investment you’ll need to make. At least even the kids can carry along their Coleman inflatable kayak so that you don’t have to worry about how all of these kayaks are going to make it to the river.
