Look for logs or areas with lily pads to try casting out at. Fish tend to spend time around these areas to hide out.

2. Fish in the Right Weather

You can not expect to catch a bunch of fish if it is pouring the rain or if it is too cold. Fish will not be as active in the water and they will lower themselves to the bottom of the water. You will not be receiving as many bites as you will if you wait for warmer weather. You need to wait for warm weather, and if it rains during warm weather, you can go after it finishes raining because fish tend to bite pretty good after the rain.
